Christmas is almost here!

Hello friends and family!
I'm missing everyone extra the closer Christmas gets but this should be the last one apart, hopefully ever! :) Hope you like this mix of photos. One is of our friend Kimberly and the Tunt volleyball team. Next, is Nell our latest family addition. He's so cute and HEAVY! A good friend for Hana. Next you see some photos of Dave and Cole at the 3 on 3 basketball team, which Dave's team got first place. The picture of the two boys, are my classroom top spellers, William on the right was the school winner and is in the other picture with Cole. The other photo is of one of my students, Ryan, playing educational games with younger students which we do for 45 minutes every other Friday with Kat's class. Happy Holidays! Love to all ~ Ang

Moravian Church and Vets day

On Veteran's Day, a native and retired Army veteran James Charles came to speak to the students at our school. Then, the Moravian church hosted a singspiration to raise money for the regional student choirs. They raised a lot of donation money and Cole and I listened to many Yup'ik songs. It was fun and now you can see how hard the long Yup'ik words are that Cole is learning in Kindergarten. Finally, Gizmo is a local dog who has adopted everyone! He's so cute he just warms your heart, this is him at our house with Nick, Cole, Kimberly and Jason.

December is Here!

Here's a hodgepodge of December shots. First, a funny 4 wheeler sign and a Tunt snowman and home. Then, a photo of Cole with Hana and one of him when he was sick and asleep in bed. Cole's first snowmobile ride ever - with our friend Nick who has the same birthday as Naomi. Finally, a friend Diana from the school gave us a HUGE piece of Alaskan King Salmon- it was so yummy and BIG- did I mention this was a THICK fish!? :) The other picture is of Cole and Dave playing Wii and of Cole making a Christmas craft that many will soon receive. Happy Holidays!

cookie night

So, this is a mix of our pictures wrapping up November. First is an older one of Cole peaking over the table at the Volleyball tourny. The others are of Cookie night, Pam helping Cole and Dana learn how to use her rolling pin that makes all of those cookie shapes at once! The other is of Cole trying to help Greg unload some groceries- what a tough little man! And finally, the best sunrise I've seen so far thanks to Marie sharing her photos. Stay tuned in December for new pics of our Alaskan fun- who new sobriety could be so busy and enjoyable! :) Hint: cute Tunt dogs are on the way.

Returning to Tunt

Pam is packed in the car as we leave Bethel, then we're back in Tunt. Ian (Kat's husband) helped us load our goods from the plane to the 4 wheeler and cart- it was so full we had to walk the near 1 mile back to town from the airstrip. The moon was rising as the sun was setting- beautiful twilight. The last pictures is of 2 of my students helping a younger student with her words, we do this for 45 minutes every other Friday with Kat's class.

Town of Bethel

This is the town of Bethel (cars) and then a view of flying into our Tunt. along the frozen river. The day ended with a gorgeous sunset.

IT'S GETTING COLD!!!!

More icey views of Bethel and the tundra from the plane.
