December begins

It's amazing how time is flying by here! Although, of course, we REALLY miss our family and friends- we must be having fun if time is flying right? Dave has started to play basketball with some of the native men and a few gussuck (Yup'ik term for white people) teachers. While he's exercising, I take the quiet time (Cole's in bed at 8) to update photos and this blog. I hope everyone is checking it so my work is worthwhile and you can learn about all the things we're learning about. Since, I blogged last month the following things have happened: Me and 3 other female teachers (Pam, Kat and Marie) went to Bethel. We boarded the plane, thanks to cheauffer Ian and a determined 4 wheeler, after a 4 hour wait at the "station" which is a nice shack the HS students built last year. It has no heat and it was literally freezing that Friday morning but we played catchphrase to pass the time and yes Andy, everyone is now hooked on this game but you! :) We went to a craft fair in Bethel to find some Christmas goodies and ate out for the first time in months. Then we shopped at 3 grocery stores to load up on goods and stocked up at a church used book sale. Everyone was very friendly and our B&B was lovely. All the crafty ladies in my life would have loved it! Check out how overloaded our plane was! Also, we had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of the teachers at Greg and Colleen's house, AND we had a Christmas card making and cookie party. It was fun and Cole was a big ball of energetic help! Enjoy the shots of all of us crazy girls. Love to you all- we will TOTALLY be missing the holidays at home, I'll especially be missing Christmas eve with all of us together.
Love you all ~ Angie
