Halloween and stuff :)
Happy Halloween everyone! Cole was Batman and Riley was the pink panther on the outside and pumpkin jailbait on the inside. (See pics) We're well, getting ready for Thanksgiving. It's snowing here on a normal basis now. We miss Hana, but she's happy with Joe- here's a Nell picture to show her, Joe. Also, there are pictures of Riley's first girls night and another wearing an outfit Megan gave her with knit booties from our Eskimo friend Katie. Finally, some pictures of grocery shopping- Alaska Bush style! Well, I'm having a bit of trouble posting some pics so I'll put a second post up. Love to all~ Ang

Second half of summer ~ Riley Quin is here!
Then on Aug. 23 at 8:18 pm we had 9.5 lbs and 21.5"'s Riley! Aunt Naomi, Tyra and Mom kept Dave and I busy on the special day then she finally emerged :) It was a wonderful eperience and she is a BIG bundle of joy. 2 days later we took her home and now we are back in Alaska. After sleeping in the Anchorage airport all night, we made it back to the tundra- nice and warm inside! It's not even Halloween yet and we have snow and temps in the teens. Who does Riley look like? (See the sleeping beauties) Cole's a great big brother- very helpful for his sister. Finally, there is a picture of the main room in the house I am teaching eight 8th graders in, so much fun! Although we miss our friends and family it's nice to be in the solitude of the bush, especially since we plan to be back to PA next year. Love to you all! Angie
The first half of summer 08
So much to write about! So, for the first half of summer (pre-Riley), we did a lot! First we spent a lot of time in PA and swimming. We got to pet live farm animals and go to the fair- Cole won 2 fish (Colorado and ?) Both of my men finally went to Indian Echo Caverns for the first time. We played at Hoffer Park several times and Uncle Gary and Nicci got engaged! YEA. Also, we celebrated Trey's birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Then, we went to see Grammy in SC and met Chuck- notice the Steelers plane we flew on! Ya baby. Cole learned to play the harmonica. Finally, we put our beloved mountain home on the market. Dave worked hard all summer getting it ready to sell. He and Joe made a great rock wall out back and we had, possibly, our last bon fire in the yard. We also went to a WV mud bog and got hit with dirt as the beaters battled it out. Then.... on August 23rd our world changed..... (see next post) :)
