Happy February Family and Friends,
I'm trying to stick to monthly updates on this blog and hopefully all of you are better blog checkers than you are emailers, so my effort's not in vain! :) We've had a lot of basketball in our lives lately- so my men are in absolute heaven and that makes me happy. Dave has been busy helping to coach the coed high school bball team, I took the elementary players to Bethel for a last minute tournament and Cole has been going hoop crazy shooting in his room- especially now that he has a full court set up with 2 Nerf rims! Cole's also been practicing his numbers and letters on the computer, as you'll see from some of these pictures.
The HS bball team is doing well, they've only lost 2 games so far and Dave's learning as much as the players! I took 10 5/6th graders to Bethel for a Friday/Sat elementary tournament. The students played hard and won 1 game and lost 3. We all had a lot of fun and they got to go to the dance that was at the school we slept in that night- remember sports and travel have a new meaning here!
In this batch of pictures, we also have Cole and his buddies playing in his room with the marble track that Pappy and GG got him- too cool. Also, Mom's friend Kathy made 27 hand knit hats and sent them to us! They were beautiful and my students loved it- there's a picture of 3 of my students modeling their new hats. Also, my class made beaver and rabbit pelts for a history/SS project. They did a great job and loved doing it so there's a picture of them as well.
Finally, today our whole family took a walk to the river. The dogs ran, Cole jumped and Dave and I got some exercise. Even at 14 degrees it was a nice time. I feel fine, we have a March baby appointment in Bethel. My clothes are getting tight so it's a great time to meet mom in Anchorage for some maternity shopping. We meet there on Thursday night and have the weekend for girl time, then we'll come back to Tunt together on Sun so she has a few days to see the village! YEA- we can't wait!!!!!
